Book Review: A Deeper Love Inside: The Porsche Santiaga Story by Sister Souljah

Porsche Santiaga, along with her younger sisters, have been separated and placed in the foster care system. Moved from house to house, something happens and she ends up in a correctional facility. There she joins forces with the Diamond Needles, a group of of young girls who stick together and look out for one another. They help Porsche to escape and hide out, as she goes in search of her family. The people that she encounters along the way, teach Porsche life lessons that help mold her into a wise beyond her years young lady…at the early age of 10.
Once Porsche actually does reconnect with her mother, her mission is to clean her up, find the twins (Mercedes and Lexus) and become a family again. This young lady is the true definition of a hustler, as she does a little bit of everything to earn money…without going against her moral values. In the process, she meets a nice young man named Elisha. A teenage relationship blossoms, as Porsche continues to struggle to find herself. Disappointed by her mother once again, she goes off on a journey called life.

A disturbing phone call forces Porsche to return home and face her past…in more ways than one. She finally reconnects with her family, one by one; as well as a few old friends. Many of her unanswered questions are finally put to rest and she can honestly move on with her life.

This book is the sequel to “The Coldest Winter Ever” and has mixed reviews. Many people didn’t care for it, because they were expecting an immature, selfish, spoiled Winter times two, but got a mature minded, wise beyond her years Porsche. I think @sistersouljah did an amazing job with this 💎💎💎💎 book, and I recommend it to the mature audience.
