Book Review: Fifth Born by Zelda Lockhart

Odessa Blackburn is the fifth born in a family of eight children. Molested by her father, mistreated by her mother, life was very unfair to her. Then she witnesses her father murder her uncle, and the secrets are beginning to unravel.

As Odessa gets a little older, she begins to separate herself from the family. A family trip to visit her grandparents opens up more secrets and the world that she has come to know…comes crumbling down.

One thing is apparent in this book…history repeats itself for the fifth born.

I gave this historical novel 💎💎💎💎, only because the first half was slow. Once it picked up, I was able to finish it in one sitting. Great job @zelda.lockhart!
